Specialist Curly Cut
All first-time curly cuts must have a consultation.
We request a consultation for all first time curly cuts as our specialists need to determine if this style of cutting will suit your curl pattern. We ask you come in with your hair styled with your natural curl. If you are someone who occasionally blow-dries your hair smooth this style of cutting may not be suitable. We will discuss your challenges, desired shape, style & product recommendations. We will then go through prep for your appointment which we have outlined below.
About your curly hair cut appointment
At your consultation we would of discussed when you would prep your hair. We ask that you use very little product for your cutting appointment as we will be unable to work with crunchy curls. We ask your hair is fully dry when you arrive to achieve the best results.
To achieve the best results we will be cutting your hair dry to allow us to cut curl by curl, confirming the shape throughout. We will then shampoo, condition & diffuse. During the drying process we will be asking you to move your head around to allow the curls to come into their own. Everyone’s curls have different needs so will vary from client to client. Once dried we will discuss the final shape and do any finishing touches.
Booking your appointment
All appointments will require a 50% deposit. Please allow 1-hour 30mins for this appointment.
Prep for the appointment
We would have discussed at your consultation whether you prep your hair the night before or the day of your appointment. We ask you to put very little product in your hair as we will not be able to work with crunchy curls. We ask that the hair is 100% dry when you arrive to achieve best results when we start the cutting process.
During The Service
As discussed at the consultation we will be cutting your hair dry to allow us to cut curl by curl confirming the shape throughout. We will then shampoo, condition & diffuse. During the drying process we will be asking to move your head around to allow those curls to come into their own. Everyone’s curls have different needs so will vary from client to client. Once dried we will discuss the final shape and do any finishing touches.
